BEWARE -- Don't use!

Actually NO STARS!

My son was totally scammed by this company. Quoted a low hourly price over the phone with NO MENTION of the 3-hour minimum charge. The flat rate for time used was quoted verbally 3x with no mention of the 3-hour minimum charge. Once the furniture was moved in, movers showed him the agreed-upon rate x3 = over $600 dollars and refused to leave the property until paid. BEWARE you actually see the contract 3x total before giving them your credit card number.

Long-distance move from San Diego, CA to Phoenix, AZ

Amazing Experience Overall.

My wife had a great experience with our move. The guys that took care of us were very polite and extremely hard working. They are very professional and arrive in uniforms with their own truck. They called us to confirm the day before and again the day of the move. They were able to come earlier than the time we scheduled which was fantastic for us. They carefully wrapped all of our furniture in blankets and nothing was damaged. They were very respectful of our home when the unloaded for us and put everything in place very quickly. I highly recommend them and would definitely call them again should I need to move.

Long-distance move from San Diego, CA to Eagle, ID

Terrible experience.

Move Central is horrible! Do not use this company. We chose them as they came highly recommended, but our experience was beyond terrible. We moved from CA to ID. The estimator came to the house and did his job, seemed like a nice enough young guy. I spoke with the main office afterwards and placed a deposit to secure the date. The day before the move, the packers came out and did their work. Again, things seemed to be going smoothly. However, some of the furniture was not packed that day. The following day, the movers arrived and finished packing the furniture. With most moves, an inventory is done. We did not get an inventory from the packers. The boxes didn’t have stickers or anything indicating what was in the boxes. When the moving crew arrived, the supervisor had to leave due to a family emergency. There was nobody sent to replace him. One of the movers was selected to be the supervisor, so in essence there was no supervision. The first thing that was said by lead was that the job was underestimated and that we would be charged for an additional truck, $3300 per truck, we had two there. By the way, one was a rental tuck as the Move Central truck had broken down, reassuring…. They managed to put our things into the two trucks and left. After leaving, they left a large amount of trash, unused boxes and other packing materials in the driveway. I ended up having to clean up the mess. It was also raining, so that made the job that much more fun. Unbeknownst to us, the movers had damaged the water valves the washer had been attached to. That damage was found several days later when we had an inspection done on the house as part of the sale. Move Central refused to acknowledge they caused the damage, although no other people had moved the washer prior and it was working and not leaking. Additionally, one of the movers had stuffed a towel around the valves to either hide the leak they had caused or soak up the water. We paid for that repair later, and again, Move Central would not pay for the damage caused by their employee(s). Two days later, the movers pulled into the driveway at our new home. The first thing I saw when the door was opened on the truck was my bandsaw leaning over into our refrigerator. Both were damaged extensively. The fridge was about three-year-old and did not have one scratch on it. Now, three out of the four doors had dents and dings all over them, and the sides as well. No moving blankets had been used at all on the fridge or a lot of the other furniture. The same “lead” apologized and said he would take full responsibility. Well, to this day nobody at Move Central has taken responsibility for any of the damage done to our things or the damage at our previous home. We had a two-month-old washer and dryer. Those items came off the truck looking as though they had been through a war. They were scratched and dented and had not been wrapped in anything other than plastic wrap. No moving blankets. Several calls were made to the corporate office that day. The day ended with the crew refusing to put together the dining room table, which they had disassembled. Another call to the office and they were told to go buy hardware if they needed to. The lead’s excuse for not putting the table together? “We don’t know where the hardware is.” Remember, no inventory was done. We found several pieces of furniture, which I made, had been damaged. There was a cut in an oil painting, $3500, the list just went on. Easily, over 100 items were damaged. A brand new $1000 rolling tool box was all dented and scratched up. I hope nobody uses this company ever again and they go the way of the Dodo.

Local move from Millbrae, CA to Daly City, CA

Please be aware

I’m typically very fair and very lenient when it comes to giving bad reviews because I understand how damaging they can be. However, this 1 star is justified as it took these guys 12.5 hours at $175 per hour (over priced, going rate is $125 for 3 guys) for less furniture than it took the last guys 5 hours to do.

5 beds, 3 dressers, 4 night stands, coffee table, 4 end tables, mini fridge and 22 boxes.

Took them 12.5 hours, $2,300 and on top of it their truck broke down. I had spent an hour going to get the parts and fixing the truck to get them mobile again.

12.5 hrs at a premium (and had damages) for less furniture than the other movers did in 5 hrs.

This is a FRAUDULENT COMPANY

DO NOT USE MOVE CENTRAL MOVING AND STORAGE. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!!

THEY STOLE MONEY FROM OUR ACCOUNT AND CHARGED US $5,000 MORE THAN WHAT WAS QUOTED!!

THEY DAMAGED OUR WALLS, FLOORS AND FURNITURE!!!!

We used Move Central Moving and Storage for our move last week. Before the move there should have been a visual physical inspection for an accurate quote but this company chose not to do one. We scheduled a virtual walkthrough with their team but no one called us and it did not happen. We were quoted $3,085 for our move.

At the end of our 13 hour move, when ready to pay over the phone, it was told to us that the cost was actually over $8,000.00 which is $5,000 more than we were quoted.

I agreed to pay for the extra 3 hours of labor and offered multiple times to pay in cash for the mutually agreed to expenses and the company refused to accept payment. Since I was promised a cash rate, I expect the cash rate to be honored. I was told that it was late at night on Sunday and a manager was not available. I was told they would either call me in a few minutes or in the morning. I did not receive a call from the company. On Tuesday I became award of a pending charge for $7,808.25 in addition to the $250 deposit the total charged was $8,058.25. They charged our card despite knowing we were in dispute and did not agree to that payment!!!!

I was told before the move that packaging materials could be used if requested. When the crew arrived we were not asked. We were told that they would use materials. The quantity of packaging materials was excessive, and they over charged for those materials significantly. We were charged $2,382.00 for packing materials!! This is basically bubble wrap and packing paper, as we had already boxed our items.

Not only were we overcharged but this company damaged many of our items!!! We have large dents in our walls, scratches on our hardwood floors, a ripped umbrella cover, and a broken dresser leg. Also two dressers had legs removed, misplaced, and now they can’t be found!!!

We have not been contacted with a resolution or compensation for these numerous problems. We will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, and will take legal action if this is not corrected!!!!!!

Long-distance move from Reseda, CA to Avon, OH

Avoid this company at all costs!

I hired Move Central to do my cross-country move, and it's been a nightmare. They sent a rep, Christian, to do a walk-through of my home and provide an estimate, which was just over $10k. My husband and I hired them, and on moving day they sent three loaders and a project manager, estimating that the job would take 3 hours. The movers were constantly on breaks, had no idea what they were supposed to be moving, and the project manager slept in the cab of his truck. They could not fit everything in the truck, and this process took over 8 hours. We had to throw away a bunch of stuff that wouldn't fit and ship a palette of about 1000 pounds of other items. The next morning, we received a phone callas we were trying to leave our home in CA for Ohio stating that the truck was overweight and they needed to charge us an extra $9k. The sales rep said he could get us a "discount" down to $6k. My husband told him to write up the quote and we'd look at it. Fast forward to move in day in Ohio. Only half of our stuff has arrived, most of the furniture damaged in some way. They offered us $350 for the damages that they caused, which I would estimate were at least $2,000 worth. The two guys they contracted to load in said there was supposed to be a third, but the project manager again was asleep in the cab and refused to help. My husband helped unload the truck. On this date, I began calling MoveCentral to try to determine what items they still have and to dispute the extra $6k charge. The estimate should NEVER be this far off. I have yet to receive an updated bill of lading; the bill of lading they have sent me repeatedly has items on it that were left in California or disposed of. Whenever I call customer service, I get the run around and am either passed off or hung up on. My next move will be to file formal complaints. This behavior is egregious, the company is in violation of several laws, and they fraudulently represented how much the move was going to cost in order to get the business. They are now holding my belongings hostage and demanding more money. I have not been provided with evidence of any weight assessments. Such a disappointment in a hugely stressful time.

UPDATE: Please note this is the ONLY negative review I've ever left.

First off the email provided by Angel doesn't work and bounced back. 2nd he responded to one message and then ghosted us.

This company responded and offered a $500 refund. They lost our subwoofer, free weights, pots/pans, and more. In addition they damaged our brand new dresser that was over $1k AND scratched/put holes in the walls of our new house.

After 3 weeks of back and forth, $500 refund is what they offered. What a joke.

Unfortunately we will have to move forward with outside counsel and file a claim with the state attorney general to resolve this situation. They lost our stuff. They damaged our stuff. They put holes in our wall. Now we are forced to spend time and effort in making things right. Do not use this company under any circumstances. If you have questions or want me to verify any of this feel free to shoot me a message.

Do not use this company.

I've never written anything BUT 5 star reviews and hate to leave a negative review however our experience was horrible.

Feel bad because the movers were all nice guys. Unfortunately we're missing multiple items and no one is taking us seriously. The kicker... despite LOSING multiple items, the charged priced was OVER DOUBLE the quote. Doesn't stop there... damaged the walls while moving into a freshly painted house. Put a couple holes in the dry wall. Damaged the trim. Dented our brand new dresser. See the photos below. Despite sharing this with the company, no solutions or help provided. Do yourself a favor and find another moving company.

Items lost...

$600 Tv subwoofer (some how the soundbar made it)

Plates/bowls

Blankets

Tried calling and each time it's... you'll have to call customer service. Can't get a hold of anyone on the customer service line.

Buyer be aware!!

This company took my money and canceled my reservation. The sales representative Cesar sold me on a same day delivery and took my $250 deposit and cancelled my delivery.

I repeat do not work with this company. I contacted them over four times Friday in regards to my move, I asked to speak to a maanger.

The manager canceled my move without communicating with me before the cancellation. When I followed up with Cesar, the following day, I was told my reservation was canceled because I stated that I would write a review about the company. What I had said was I seen the reviews about the company not showing up and canceling orders At the last moment.

The only thing Cesar would say is they dropped the ball and I would receive a refund in five business days.

I have to move this week so not only am I out of money, I have to pay for additional days in the storage and another moving company.

Please do not work with any of these guys at Move Central, they talk a good game but you will be the only one left to pay in the end.

Retaliation and Urinating in my Unit DO NOT USE

We reached out to Move Central Moving & Storage for a quote for a move. The move would be a local move, only 12 miles away, for a studio apartment. Everything would be packed prior to arrival. We were quoted around $1,024 dollars for the move by Leo and required a $500 hold. The move was in 2 parts first to their storage then from storage to the new place days later. The move would include blankets and wrap to protect my items during the move. As the move was approaching we called back again and spoke to a different person, who then explained that on top of the $500 Hold, an ADDITIONAL $636 hold would be placed on our credit card twice for a total of $1772. The reason given was that they had been burned before.Upon arrival the men, Omar and Ferndancio(sp) requested to view the apartment during which they commented how the move wouldn’t take long at all and to make sure they went beyond the 3 hour minimum. Before the move begin they notified me that blankets and wrap cost extra and tried to charge my card another $500 fraudulently. With all of the boxes packed, and only a handful of items still in the apartment, we assisted one of the movers while the other was on his phone swearing and talking about us while in the room. At one point our couch fell and we ran to catch it so it would not be damaged. The move concluded and we were told that travel time and unpacking to the storage unit were part of the charge. The entire move was done in around 3 Hours, yet the Movers proceeded to sit in the truck even after we had time to drop off our key, clean the apartment, and check out with the office. At around 4 hours we received a call notifying us we were charged for 6.5 Hours. This was based on an “estimate” of how long they predicted it would take. The movers accidentally let it slip that they weren’t even going back to the Storage place and had another move they had to go to right after which was during the time we were charged.Over the next few days conversations went back and forth and Angel of Move Central agreed 6.5 hours for that type of move was unacceptable. We asked to not have these movers involved in the second half of the move. We spoke Angel, Max, Caesar and Carlos(CJ) all of who assured us that that these movers would not be involved in the second half of the move. CJ shared they were not scheduled that day so it would not even be possible to be our movers” However, Omar and Ferdancio(sp), the same movers who were involved in the on-going dispute showed up on the day of the move. Upon their arrival they immediately made it clear they were aware of the complaints that had been made.
As a result we noticed immediately our property had been intentionally damaged in retaliation. Items were dragged on pavement, scratched, thrown and broken. Despite finishing early again, they charged 6.5 hours Of this charge 2.5 hours were spent after they lost parts of our bed frame, blamed us, then put it together wrong so had to do it 3 more times. Right before they left they asked to use our bathroom in our brand new place. Leaving quickly after we went in to find they had URINATED all over our floors and toilet.
Calls were made to Angel immediately and we were assured that all of the property would either be repaired or replaced . While he worked on the issue he told us he would be immediately refunding $200 of the $1685 we were charged. In follow-up conversation he confirmed again the money had already been returned. It had not.
We mail over a copy of all of the damages with photos of the damage. After 4 days of no response we reached out and were put in contact with Carlos (CJ) of Dispatch. He was the rudest told us we were owed nothing because we accepted the quote, even though we never signed off at the end of the move. He laughed when I asked him about the urination which we provided photos of and said "well that's not damage."

Check out the fake reviews with stock photos too on Google.

NOTE: Please feel free to post on here and share your story we are working with a local news station to expose Move Central Movers & Storage.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

NEVER use this company. Their customer service is terrible. On July 28th, 2023 I moved using Osmon moving from my house in Glendale. In the process of my move the movers broke my table saw by dropping it on its side. This table saw is no longer manufactured so the part that broke is not manufactured either. They told me to contact there customer service to get it resolved.

I contacted them and they asked if i could send documentation of the damage. I did... and never heard back from them. I called again and the number was DISCONECTED. I then called again and found out that the company had gone under and was now owned by MOVE CENTRAL.

I asked to get the claim resolved through them and was told they would call me back.

They never did.

I contacted them again and they assured me someone was handling the old Osmon claims and they would transfer me to customer service for more information

I was transferred there and the HEAD of their customer service said i needed to contact Osmon moving because it wasn't move central that damaged my saw. I will remind you at this point that OSMON DOESN'T EXIST. I told him this and he said it wasn't their problem. I asked if it could be escalated to anyone at the company and he said no.

I have been told 4 times now that they will "investigate it" and also 4 times that "there is nothing they can do about it."

Osmon was insured for damages of 60 cents per pound. The total weight of the saw is 253 lbs. They are dodging a pay out of 153 dollars. This amount of hesitation to acknowledge any liability is so petty. What does THAT say about this company? They will give you the run around. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Couldn't rate them lower, wish I could.

Oh where to begin.

Don’t trust your "estimate" for your move. They quoted me a time of 4-6 hours. We ended up at 7.5 hours. Pretty close. The final bill was $1000 more than the "estimate" that was given to me by the sales guy.

When I questioned this with their support after the move, and why my estimate was so far off, I was told "sometimes you take your car in for a tire, and it ends up being the engine, so your bill is higher". Actual quote. Not kidding.

They damaged a lot of my furniture in ways that aren't repairable, including a 1-off hand made guitar. The waiver you sign says you get "60 cents a pound" as compensation.

More than $6000 worth of my property was damaged beyond repair. My settlement? $250. They bumped it to $300 "for my trouble". Great job guys. Really appreciate that. Can you sense the sarcasm?

The salesmen aren't going to even mention to you that you have the option for a 3rd party insurance company to properly value your items. Do yourself a favor and do that. These guys aren't going to be helpful at all.

I've moved countless times. I've never dealt with a company more frustrating than this. I don't recommend them at all. If you do use them, protect yourself with your own insurance. They couldn't care less about your property, just what California says is legal. To put it bluntly, they aren't legally required to pay more damages by the state, so they won't. Even in special circumstances like a handmade guitar with a $1000 paint job, or a priceless hand-carved jewelry box.

PRICE GOUGING, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

WE HIRED THIS MOVING COMPANY BUT IT WASN'T THE BEST CHOICE. THEY PRICE GOUGE. FOR A 1 BEDROOM SET & SOME BOXES MOVE, THEY TOOK 16-HOURS CAUSING THEM TO CHARGE FOR OVER-TIME & DOUBLE OVER-TIME. PLEASE, PLEASE READ YOUR CONTRACT CAREFULLY, BECAUSE THEY GOT US GOOD.

HERE IS THE EMAIL WE SENT TO THEM EXPLAINING OUR COMPLAINTS, THEY CAUSED A LOT OF EXTRA WORK & ISSUES WITH THE FURNITURE:

Good morning Rodny, we hope that you’re doing well. Please accept this email correspondence & information on you Move Central client, Michelle McGee (copied on this email correspondence). As requested, here is our Move Central claim:

On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, we contacted Move Central at (323) 800-2230 because we were interested in receiving an estimate for a moving service. We had contacted 4 or 5 different moving companies within the Los Angeles area. While I was on the phone, I was asked many questions such as move from (Playa Vista), move to (Murrieta/Perris), date of move, how many movers, etc. When it comes to the how many movers question, I responded with “let’s start with 3 & go from there”. After my call was completed, I received a Move Central estimate from Leo Escobedo. I was quoted $139.00 an hour if paying cash & $159.00 an hour if paying with credit card. I communicated this information to Michelle McGee.

As Michelle was deciding on her move date, she asked that I send over all the estimates that I had received. After she reviewed all the estimates received, she chose to work with Move Central because your company seemed competitive in the pricing. She than contacted Move Central & began the process of booking her move. Once she received the move contract/agreement, she was pressured to sign immediately because the agreed move date was approaching.

She was never informed of any overtime or double overtime fees by any Move Central representatives.

On the date (Wednesday, December 27, 2023) of her move, it was already a stressful day but working with Move Central was more stressful. Below, you will find the complaints/issues & pictures that we are claiming:

1st complaint/issue: A very important art piece of hers was not wrapped correctly & was left exposed causing it to be damaged.

2nd complaint/issue: Movers didn’t use gloves when moving her white/beige bed headboard & footboard causing them to get dirty (edges were already dirty but hand prints are shown).

3rd complaint/issue: Movers lost approximately 16 screws belonging to the bed. They confirmed that they lost the bed screws & apologized. They decided to put the bed back together using the remaining screws & skipping holes that should have been filled with screws. This is a hazard because Michelle can fall through her bed at any time. Now she must find a way to purchase the exact screws needed to complete her bed from Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. This is taking time away from her work schedule.

4th complaint/issue: Movers lost credenza shelf pins & credenza floor leg. Items such as these can’t be found. Michelle has contacted Crate & Barel to ask for replacements but that hasn’t been completed. Her time is very valuable & now she must contact different companies to replace items lost.

5th complaint/issue: When we received the initial estimate, we asked for 3 movers, but we were only sent 2 movers. This caused the move time to be longer than planned. Her move only consisted of a full bedroom set, clothing, & other small items yet it took from 8:00AM to 5:00PM or 6:00PM. Had we been sent 3 movers, this would have helped with the move being completed sooner, than later. This shortage caused the move to go into overtime & double overtime fees. This isn’t fair to Michelle.

6th complaint/issue: Movers damaged a wood storage furniture piece.

7th complaint/issue: Michelle felt pressured when the movers arrived at her new home in Perris because the driver stated, “I am not/can’t unload the move unless I receive full payment”. As a single woman, she did what asked & felt very uncomfortable after that interaction. She paid $250.00 for the deposit & she paid $3,000.00 in cash (only owed $2,877.50) at the end of the move. She left the remainder of the $3,000.00 for the drivers because he stated, “Do I have to give you money back?”.

As you can see, this entire move didn’t go as she should have gone. We hire moving companies to complete our moves, so we don’t have to deal with the stress or craziness.

We are asking that Michelle is being reimbursed for the following:

4-Hours – Overtime Labor Exceeding 8-hours in the amount of $556.00, for being understaffed

4-Hours – Double Time Labor Exceeding 12-hours in the amount $278.00, for being understaffed

Truck & Fuel in the amount of $189.00

Grand Total to be reimbursed: $1,023.00

Great experience for long distance move!

I requested a quote after a quick search online for long distance movers. I spoke to Kyle, who was very kind and had a great attitude and made me feel comfortable and they were the most reasonably priced company. The movers showed up on time, were well prepared and packed everything up perfectly within a reasonable time frame. There was no actual damage to my stuff and the mover put my furniture together quickly. Highly recommend this company.

Horrible experience - do not recommend.

We called & explained we had a townhome and needed to move 4 furniture items & the rest was stacks of boxes that were going from upstairs to the garage. (No truck needed). This would have been a good time for the sales agent to give details on a 3 hour minimum. Yes, of course, I would expect a minimum and yes, I should have asked.

The movers arrived 3.5 hours late, exhausted and complaining about their previous job, argued while taking our items to the garage, then charged $440 for 40minutes of work. We were never told of a 3 hour minimum. We would never had paid $440 for such minimal work. I Expressed frustration over their lack of sharing and breaking down the fees, their customer service manager said he listened to the call, and said you are right we never explained the 3 hour minimum, we did explain it was $130/hour plus, the $50 truck fee, (which I agreed), we will use this as a learning experience to better train our associates, however, no refund will be given. This was after several phone calls and emails. I take full responsibility for not reading the fine-print, lesson learned. However, to work with a company that takes zero responsibility, and doing what is right was more than disappointing. In good faith, they could have given us a $50 discount, simply for arriving 3.5 hours late and having two movers with no synergy, clearly frustrated and exhaused and still have made an amazing profit.

Damaged and stolen property, horrible claims process.

They reel you in with a false estimate, then charge you double when it is all said and done. I told them everything we had up front, and they sent a truck that was too small, which caused me to have to hire another truck. Then they damage major items of furniture and offer pennies on the dollar after long delays. Oh yeah, they "lost" a beautiful glass table too. Avoid this company at all costs.

The best local movers.

This is our third time using Move Central and, once again, they provided outstanding service. We used this company when we moved into our apartment as newlyweds and recently used them to move out of that apartment and into our first house. They are the best local movers in San Diego, full stop. They are quick to respond to email, provide detailed quotes, competitive pricing, and their crews work quickly and efficiently to get the job done. Both the crew movers and office staff made moving day much less stressful with open and timely communication. The entire crew was friendly, hardworking, and took great care of our belongings. They also took great care to follow all COVID-related safety practices. I can’t recommend them enough. They should be your first and only choice for completing a local and long distance move in this area.

Great service.

Great service starting from the response time with the initial quote.

I had to move times because of the restrictive elevator times for the move-in building. The schedule was extremely professional and patient. They were really great about their quote an email communication.

The movers were extremely polite, efficient and professional. Quick move, too. Clean equipment, fair prices and really made what is usually a stressful day easy.

They are great guys and I highly recommend them for your moving needs!

If you want to have a stress free move be sure to use this company. The energy and efficiency of the movers that moved me is not found often enough today. These guys had great helpful personalities. Stress free moving.

We just completed our second move with Move Central, and this experience was just as great as the last. Getting the quote and setting up the move with Arnold was extremely quick and efficient. He asked a few pertinent questions and then right away I had a detailed and reasonable price quote in my inbox. The three men crew of Juka, Hermo and Isaac were super efficient, helpful, and professional. They got the entire pack up and move of my wife’s grandmother’s apartment done in 5

Hours. They were also very flexible, to include taking some of her furniture to her neighbor’s apartment and helping them set it up at our request.

If you want a hassle free planning and move process, just call this company and they will take good care of you.

Long-distance move from Chula Vista, CA to Greenville, SC

Moving San Diego to South Carolina

Our delivery was scheduled for 7/21/21. Not a word from company or dispatch. I contacted dispatch and got a new estimate of arrival for 7/24/21. I will update my review when they arrive, but quite frankly I would not use this company for long distance moves. I thought I had done my research and selected based on reviews of others saying what a great experience others had had. This has been extremely stressful and costly and that's not including the cost of the move! The lack of communication from the company after they had been paid in full was unprofessional and leads me to question if the reviews were made up. I can only hope the

truck arrives on 7/24/21. This will be updated then as I have said.

Poor service and unresponsive

BEWARE and DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY...This was my 3rd time using them and we chose them because we had a good experience in the past...NOT THIS TIME. The driver (Miguel) asked for some furniture we were leaving behind and it took him about 20 minutes to remove this heavy furniture to the truck - I thought he would just take it with him when we were finished but he called his "friend" to come pick it up - I said we could not wait for his friend so he delayed an additional 15 minutes until his friend showed up and then moved all the items already packed and loaded to the moving truck back to his friends truck. Turns out that this extra 35 minutes was being charged to me and when the final number came in they said I owed for 4 hours and 30 minutes instead of 3 hours and 15 minutes. And this was a move that should have taken no more than 3 hours even at a snails pace. Of course I disputed this with Miguel and his dispatcher. I paid cash for what I actually owed and then the company put an unauthorized $211.25 charge on my credit card based on some unknown formula. No call backs after 6 phone calls and just a major run around. DO NOT USE THEM -No call back after 6 attempts and just a major run around.

Absolutely HORRIFIC experience to say the least!

I booked the move with Jay Ortiz, who seemed very kind and responsive. He quoted me $135/hour, and everything was confirmed for Friday, 3/11 between 8-10a. Two movers arrived promptly at 8a, a scrawny guy and a bigger one, which made us slightly concerned that they would get everything done. They started promptly, and confirmed that it would take them 1.5-2 hrs to get everything out.... it ended up taking them 4 HOURS just to move everything out of our 2 bedroom apt, and all we had left was furniture as we had moved all little items the week prior!!!

The bigger one was complaining that their foreman undersold them, and it should've been a 3-man job. My husband and I agreed with them, and were understanding. Then, when it came time to disassemble the beds, they said they didn't have any tools to do so because their foreman said there was no disassembly requested, which is a lie. My husband had to go out twice to get tools, which of course delayed the process even further!! Ok, fine, mistake here.

We FINALLY get everything out and the movers made a stop to pick up another piece of furniture at my parents. Per my mom, they were sitting around waiting at their house, when they could've easily knocked on the door. They were 100% trying to delay, so they could charge us more! NOT OK!

After picking up that piece, they finally arrive at our final destination and begin unloading the truck. They were THE SLOWEST of slow, and at one point, the bigger man walked in with just a 2 lbs. blanket ladder. My mom, who came to help, called him out and told him that he couldn't be just walking in with one measly item! He claimed that he needed to get all the little stuff out first... YEAH, OK!. So I decided it was finally time to call the foreman and complain. I spoke with both Jay and Frank, who were BEYOND rude, and I told them that they were extremely slow, and I was not going to be paying for a 10+ hr. move, when it was quoted 4 hrs (MIND YOU, WE NEVER SIGNED ANY KIND OF CONTRACT, SO WE WERE NOT LEGALLY BOUND). I requested a discount and confirmed they would give me $100 off.... THAT'S IT?! I told them both that that wasn't acceptable, and they then called the movers to have them stop moving things and threatened to pack up the truck and take it to their warehouse!!! They said they would not restart the move unless we paid upfront, which makes no sense given that the move was not complete!!! Like excuse me, but this is our property and am by no means legally bound to pay you!! After many calls back and forth, he then claimed that there was no discount, but luckily, we were on a recorded line.

After much arguing with both the movers and foreman. The bigger mover offered to move all things in 2 hours and leave. We agreed, and we finally got everything out, and they left. The foreman called me one last time and confirmed that I would get the $100 discount, plus $66 back, since they finished in 1.5 hrs vs. 2. Oh, thanks for the discount, Jay! So kind...

All in all, it was an absolute JOKE of a move... I will NEVER use them again, and I HIGHLY suggest against anyone using them unless you want to get severely taken advantage of and work with complete a-holes!

Oh, also, money is MAGICALLY missing out of one of our dressers, which neither my husband nor I moved prior....

Local move from Oceanside, CA to Carlsbad, CA

Avoid this moving company at all costs (literally)!

Only two of the three people assigned to the job showed up and they had zero experience! They went through excessive amounts of packing materials, which I was charged for. I was on a deadline but had to adjust to their schedule which was delayed and then finished in a rush the following day. Everything went into storage for a few months and when I settled into my new home I was again extremely disappointed - thousands of dollars worth of home furnishings and heirloom pieces had either been broken or "lost." After weeks of replacing broken items and trying to figure out where my home office desk, supplies, and artwork went, I was offered a laughable settlement offer of $500.00! Completely unprofessional from start to finish.

Big family move

My family was so happy with the service received. We are a big family and had to move a huge amount of stuff. All the time movers made sure the furniture and boxes were safe. We appreciated they were very polite, patient with pour requests and friendly. For anyone moving the toughest part is dealing with people that are disrespectful and careless with your belongings, but these guys weren't the case, we knew we could trust them with everything. Highly recommended!

Heavy items move

Move Central's crew helped us move last week. I was stressed as we had a lot of stuff including a piano and other heavy items. They made light work of it and took all of the stress away. They are best at what they do. Took real care of everything and were very friendly. Next time I move I'll be using these guys and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
